Lars Peter Anderson died at the home of his daughter, Anna, in this village on Nov. 12th, just a week after he had sustained a stroke of paralysis. He was nearly 85 years old at the time of his death.
Deceased was born in Västergötland, Sweden, on Dec. 26th, 1835. He was married to Maja Greta Carlson and shortly after came to America arriving here in 1882 and living in Minneapolis for a few years. They came to this section and settled on a farm south of town living there for many years. Advancing age compelled him to give up hard work and he moved into this village about seven years ago. He was a member of the Lutheran church for a number of years belonging to the Moore's Prairie church and of late years to the Gethsemane congregation here. His wife died on July 29, 1918.
Deceased leaves one brother in Sweden, and three children, Carl August, of Minneapolis, John Alfred in Alaska, and Anna of Dassel. There are four grandchildren. The oldest daughter, Christine, died Nov. 1, 1912.
The funeral services were held in this village from the Lutheran church Saturday afternoon, Rev. Wagner of Cokato, officiating. Interment was made in the Steelsville cemetery.
Those from out of town attending the funeral were C. A. Larson, Clarence and Luella Larson, of Minneapolis.
