Alfhild Jennie Marie Peterson, of Collinwood Township, passed away peacefully at home September 20, 1963, age 74 years, 1 month, 20 days. Alfhild was born August 1, 1889, in Meeker County, Minnesota, the second of six children, to Oscar and Maria Christina (Boo) Peterson of Collinwood Township. She was baptized August 25, 1889 at First Lutheran Gethsemane, Dassel, MN; her uncle and aunt, August L. and Albertina (Peterson) Nyberg, were her baptismal sponsors. Alfhild was confirmed in her Christian faith May 13, 1905 at First Lutheran Gethsemane, Dassel, MN. She never married, but was an integral part of the family and the Peterson farm where she grew up, and she was known for being a kind, loving and generous person.
 
Preceding Alfhild in death were her parents; brother Joseph Magnus Peterson, Collinwood; sister Sigrid Victoria Peterson; infant sister Ruth Ingeborg Peterson; an unnamed infant sister; and, half-brother Albert Samuel Peterson. Alfhild is survived by brother Herman Hilding Peterson, Collinwood; half-brother Carl Josua Peterson; and many loving nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who mourn her passing. Loved by all who knew her, Alfhild Jennie Marie Peterson was lovingly laid to rest in the Peterson family plot in Steelesville Cemetery. Blessed be her memory.
