Aged Pioneer Answers Final Call Monday after a Short Illness
At his home in this village Monday at about 1:15 occurred the death of John Erickson, aged 68 years, after an illness of about a week.
Deceased had come to this section directly from Sweden about forty years ago and settled on a farm in Collinwood where he resided until a few years ago when he moved to this village. He leaves a family of eleven grown-up children and a widow to mourn his death. He has always been a faithful and devout member of the local Lutheran church and was a member of the board of trustees at the time of his death. He was known and respected by everyone and his death is an occasion of sincere sorrow and regret among a wide circle of friends and relatives.
The funeral was held yesterday at two o'clock from the Lutheran church, Rev. J. I. Bergstrand officiating.
