Born Nov. 4, baptized the 6th. Torparen Lars Sten and Hustru Kerstin Nilsdotter at Hofvaskogs "väg?" meaning road not sure.
Witnesses: could be dräng or dragon (servant or dragoon) another possibility would be krogaren (tavern owner) will look at the original
Lars Larsson at Stickalösa? ? Lars Andersson at Ingeryd Wife Maria at Måryd Servant Girl Lotta Johansdotter at Hofvaskog.

Daughter Anna Sofia died Sep30. 1857
Cause of death was Rödsot (dysentery) for all.
Notes from Jim Holmgren:
This was an epidemic of dysentery. "Rödsot" The immediate burial must have been viewed as a way to keep the malady from spreading. Burial normally took place three or more weeks after death to give distant family an opportunity to attend and then the feasting would last several days. It appears that several people were dying every day in Gränna. I wonder if soldiers brought the sickness from some foreign port.
