Torbor Knutson Danielson obituary reads: passed away at her home at 10:45pm, March 24, 1924. She was 83 years old and widowed for 15 years. She had been ill with pneumonia only a week. A trained nurse cared for her during her illness and everything done that human skill could offer, but her advanced age made the battle a losing one. She was born in Norway on Nov 4, 1841 and had lived in the state of MN for more than 54 years. She and her husband were residents of Duluth before coming to Meeker County. They were among the first pioneers and worked hard and faithfully as did the other early settlers to make “the wilderness blossom as the rose.” Mrs. Danielson could always be relied on to do her share, and all her life has been one of the helpful, inspiring Christian women of the community.
