Carl Edwin Peterson, the youngest of five children born to Frank Johan "Pelle" and Karalina (Jönsdotter) Peterson, died March 4, 1884, at the age of 7 years, 6 months, 12 days. Carl Edwin, and his twin sister, Amanda Augusta, were born August 22, 1876 in Steelesville Township, Meeker County, Minnesota. They were baptized September 17, 1876 at the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Gethsemane Congregation of Dassel, into which the Peterson family was received as members December 13, 1873, the birth year of the church. Carl Edwin's baptismal sponsors were his aunt and uncle, Albertina (Peterson) and August Nyberg. Carl Edwin is survived by his brothers Axel Edward and John Sigfrid, and sister Amanda Augusta. Carl Edwin was laid to rest in the family burial plot in the Steelesville Cemetery. Blessed be his memory.
