Anna Mathilda (Boo) Peterson, age 23, passed away on 27 Apr 1885, a year after the birth of her second son. She was born 10 May 1861, the eldest daughter of Johannes Johanneson Bo and his second wife Stina Gustava Andersdotter in Gränna, Jönköping, Sweden. After the birth of three sisters, Anna's mother died in 1866 the same day Anna's sister, Augusta was born. The other two sisters died in infancy, but Augusta survived. Her father was married a third time later that year to Hedda Jacobsdotter Wallgren, who raised Anna. The family with Johannes, Hedda, Anna and Augusta emigrated to the United States in 1881.
Anna Mathilda married Oscar Peterson 19 Aug 1881 at Stockholm, MN. They had two sons, Albert Samuel and Carl Josua (CJ), who along with her husband, survive her. She is also survived by her sister Augusta Johannesdotter Bo, and half-brother John Boo of this community. She is also survived by her step-sister, Maria Christina Boo in Sweden, daughter of Hedda. Anna Mathilda Peterson is buried in the Steelesville Cemetery. Blessed be her memory.
