Karl Peterson, 79, COKATO
Karl V. Peterson, 79, formerly of St. Cloud and Dassel, died Wednesday at Burns Manor Nursing Home, Hutchinson. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Dassel. The Rev. Scott Geister-Jones will officiate. Burial will be in the Steelsville Cemetery, Dassel. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Dassel.

Karl Peterson was born May 23, 1917, in Dassel to Herman and Ruth (Bollman) Peterson. He married Dorine Corkins on April 5, 1941, on the Peterson farm near Dassel. They lived and farmed south of Dassel until 1947 when they moved to St. Cloud. He was employed by NSP until his retirement in 1981 when they moved back to the family farm near Dassel. They moved to Cokato in 1991. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Dassel, and while living in St. Cloud, he was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and volunteered with a Boy Scout troop.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Alan, Maple Grove; Douglas, Dassel; Gary, Buffalo, Wyo.; brother and sister, Bernard, Dassel; Marie Rick, Litchfield; and four grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson.
