DEATH OF MRS. AXEL BERGQUI5T
Well-Known Collinwood Lady Dies Suddenly after a Very Short Illness of Bronchitis
The angel of death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Bergquist Sunday morning and called from its happy circle the beloved wife and mother. The call came about ten a.m. after a short illness of bronchitis and it was a sad shock to all. Deceased had been suffering with a throat affliction for some years but there seemed to be no immediate danger. She was suddenly attacked with bronchitis about five days before her death and seemed to be unable to withstand it and the end came as stated.

Deceased came to this country with her parents early in life and for four years lived in Chicago, finally coming to Collinwood where she made her home until the time of her death. She was 49 years of age and was married in 1886 to Axel Bergquist. Ten children, all of them living, and her husband, survive her. She was widely known in this section and esteemed by all that knew her best. Her loss from the family circle will be keenly felt and the bereaved ones have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in which the Anchor sincerely joins.

The funeral took place Tuesday from the Swedish Lutheran Church in this village, Rev. Johnson of Stockholm officiating. The interment took place in the Steelesville Cemetery.
